Movement Direction
Since graduating from Drama Centre London in 2019, Jules has worked as movement director, translating his technical training with his passion for human behaviour. He works an associate artist/director for National Youth Theatre & has worked at institutions such as Drama Centre London and Giles foreman Centre For Acting.
As a movement coach, he has worked alongside Liana Nyquist (movement specialist) coaching professional actors one on one, preparing them for their roles using movement psychology and Liana’s movement work (influenced by Yat Malmgren).
Some his movement director credits include: An Intervention (Riverside Studios), Invisible Animal (Omnibus Theatre), Karen (The Other Palace), Sea Wall (Pleasance Theatre) & English Ako (Camden People’s Theatre & Omnibus Theatre, Edinburgh Fringe).
Through improvisation, games and devising; he aims to find an intuitive, expressive and dynamic embodiment of movement for the actor who feels confident in trusting their creative impulses.
